  • My art is a love affair with colour ,whimsy and life. Acrylic paint is my medium of choice, but I also draw into my paintings with pencils, pens and pastels, and I use collaged paper, fabric and little 3D pieces in many of my works. Currently I see my work as a celebration of life as a wife and mother of four, blissfully creating art in the midst domestic chaos. My images have an innocence about them that is a direct reference to my days watching my children interact and play. Imagination is a huge factor in my works and how frustrating it is as an adult to try and recapture the imagination that is so woven into a child’s life. Small stories or words are often included in my works which lends a childish storybook effect.   Education    Kalamunda High School - Special Art Programme 1985 -1987     Forrestfield TAFE 1988     Perth Central College of TAFE - Diploma Visual Art (Printmaking)     1989 - 1991     Edith Cowan University - Degree Course Visual Art (Printmaking) . . . more
