Narelle is a multi award-winning artist with a background in education. Encouraging children through a hands-on approach to express themselves through colour, line, texture and form lead her to using various techniques within each piece of work. Narelle loves nature's design in everyday objects, exploring the complexities of texture, light, shade and reflection whilst blending and layering colours with glaze in an abstract style. The ambiguous nature of her subjects manipulate the perspectives of detail and obscurity. Narelle holds a Bachelor of Arts in Education majoring in Art, and a Bachelor of Education. She completed The Extraordinary Mind Project portrait drawing classes and has been a master class student in the Freedom School with David Giiles. Narelle's work is included in both commercial and private collections nationally, including Robert Juniper's private collection.

Flow exhibition

Flow encapsulates everything about life and art to me. The flow of life is an ever-changing journey and water sustains our lives as a constant flow. I find myself exploring that flow of water through my art and the influence it has on us every day. Thirst depicts our yearning for water on the land and the dependence our farmers have on this life–sustaining resource. Inspired #2, Byron Bliss and Terrestrial Delight illustrate our connection with the ocean and land with their life-giving qualities.
The Sunny Road and Til Dawn draw on the sun’s energy and how it affects the flow of our lives. Growth, activity, mood and quality of our experiences are all governed by the sun. Nurture portrays the life-giving connection between mother and developing child as all nutrients flow in a continuous supply from mother to child. The flow of life continues as each little person enters the world.
I find it to be a constant source of amazement that all of these experiences appear amongst the paint, as it undergoes a permanent change of shape under the stress of my paint brush whilst flowing onto the canvas.

What clients say about Narelle

Our new painting is still brilliant. It's the first thing you see in the hallway when you come in the front door.

Best wishes,
